Keep Your FLowers Fresh - Longer!

Keeping cut flowers fresh and looking beautiful can be a challenge, but with a few simple tips you can enjoy your flowers for longer.

One of the most important things to do is to make sure your flowers are in a clean vase. Bacteria can easily grow in a vase, so clean it with warm water and a small amount of bleach after every use. Additionally, make sure the vase is filled with enough water so that the stems are submerged.

When you first get your fresh cut flowers, trim the stems at an angle in order to give them a larger surface area to absorb water. Trim about an inch off of the stem, and be sure to use a sharp knife or scissors so that you don’t crush the stem.

If you’re not planning on using the flowers right away, place them in a cool, dark area and keep the stems in water. This will help them to stay fresher for longer.

When you are ready to use the flowers, give them a fresh cut and add a floral preservative to the water. This will help to keep the water clean and provide nutrients to the flowers.

Finally, make sure to keep the flowers out of direct sunlight and away from heaters or other sources of heat. Excess heat can cause the flowers to wilt faster.

By following these simple tips you can make your fresh cut flowers last longer and enjoy them for days or even weeks! Thank you for choosing Cali Wholesale Flowers in Carlsbad, CA for all your floral needs.
